Child cognitive development shouldn't be understood as an absolutely smooth road towards all embracing knowledge about the world and the objective ties that exist between things and notions in the civilization the way it is today. At times the child cognitive development can seem an uphill struggle for the child, as it may be rather hard to understand a few things about the world that the child fails to get the gist of.
Child cognitive development can somewhat slowed down or on the contrary accelerated due to some specific features of the child's mental ability and personality. At times the child may feel puzzled and confused, he can feel alone and opposed to the society and the entire world appears hostile and impossible to understand. In this case all that is needed is a bit of patience and understanding on the part of parents.
To an average child the way he sees the world from the childish point of view all the world is nice and interesting, that's why it is necessary for the caring parents to nourish the kid's curiosity and provide all the information available at their disposal to the kids, certainly trying not to overload the child with information, although it may e of great use. In other words it is necessary for parents not to go overboard in stuffing their child's head full of facts and rules as that may produce the effect of rejection of everything new as a form of the child's protest against being confused.
Child cognitive development in order to go in its regular way requires corresponding conditions. It order to gain the relevant skills, the kid needs to be constantly assisted by his parents or other guardians, who through learning and games will gently introduce the child to the whole wide world. It goes without saying that the child has a chance to see and observe different people with different characters, manners and patterns of behavior on his own, but he may not have a clue which is right and which is wrong.
Only letting your child to get a complete picture of the world with its positive and negative sides will equip your child with the necessary skills, based on judgment and common sense. It needs to be borne in mind that part of child cognitive development is memory development. Parents can effectively assist their child in this respect by means of encouraging him to learn simple rhymes.
Child cognitive development needs to be carefully guided by parents and teachers. Wise parents need to be ready to intentionally place their child in the conditions which despite being difficult to face, will have great instructive and cognitive value.
Parents should not ignore the exercises that are triggered at the child's memory development, as this is the attribute that will be of great help for the child all through his life, therefore the earlier developed - the more likely to be subject to further training and effective use.
Some parents go to extremes in terms of speeding up their child's cognitive development. They should not cross the dividing line and let the useful knowledge cause aversion. This kind of response can be expected if the child is being forced to learn something beyond the range of his interest.
It is best to find the way to both give the child the opportunity to learn more of things he is curious about.
